Designing Quantum Research for Local Impact

Impactful research begins with problem selection. Here is how we evaluate applied quantum project proposals.

March 21, 2026

Not every hard problem is a quantum problem. We ask teams to define the classical baseline, the data realities on the ground, and the decision a better algorithm would improve.

Strong proposals connect scientific ambition to Uganda and regional needs: supply chains, molecular and materials questions relevant to local industry, climate risk modeling, and secure digital infrastructure.

Mentorship then focuses on scope control, reproducibility, and communication so findings can travel beyond a single lab notebook.
