About
Quantum Uganda.

We are building Uganda into a leading African hub for quantum computing education, research collaboration, and talent development.

01 / Mission

Democratize quantum opportunity

Quantum Uganda exists so African researchers, students, and innovators can participate in the quantum era as creators—not only as end users of tools designed elsewhere. We lower barriers to knowledge, create research pathways, and grow a community that shares ambition with rigor.

02 / Vision

Africa as a quantum contributor

By 2030, we envision a thriving East African quantum ecosystem: universities teaching practical quantum foundations, research teams publishing and prototyping, and industry partners exploring quantum-ready applications with local talent at the center.

How we work

01

Education first

We create accessible pathways from curiosity to competence through bootcamps, campus clubs, and open learning resources.

02

Research with purpose

We support applied projects that connect quantum methods to African challenges in health, agriculture, climate, and finance.

03

Networks that compound

We connect students, faculty, innovators, and international collaborators so knowledge and opportunity circulate.

04

Infrastructure for the long term

We build durable institutional capacity—curricula, mentors, partnerships, and community systems—not one-off events.

Based in Kampala. Connected to the continent.

Our work is rooted in Uganda while remaining deliberately regional. We collaborate with universities, innovation hubs, government stakeholders, and international research networks to ensure African quantum capacity grows through shared infrastructure and open exchange.
